Benefits of meditation

Lower BP:

  • It has been proven that regular meditation lowers blood pressure by enhancing blood flow and relaxing blood arteries. This is particularly crucial for heart patients who frequently suffer from high blood pressure.

Improved HRV:

  • Heart rate variability (HRV) is improved by meditation. HRV reflects how quickly your heart makes small changes in the time interval between each heartbeat. Meditation enhances HRV by balancing the autonomic nervous system, improving the heart’s ability to adapt to stress and recover from strain.

Improved performance:

  • Meditation fosters self-awareness and discipline, helping patients make healthier choices, such as sticking to dietary plans, exercise routines, and medication schedules.

Reduced stress:

  • Stress is a key risk factor for heart disease, and meditation helps reduce it. Increased cortisol and adrenaline levels brought on by stress can have a damaging effect on cardiovascular health.

Think of a goal you’re working towards?

  • What strengths can you use to get there?
  • What skills do you need to learn and/or practice? Can you set a learning goal?
  • What barriers could you face and what strategies will you use to surpass them?
