In this day and age, many of us purchase and cook with pre-packaged foods, such as most store bought breads, canned goods, pastas and pre-made meals. But how do you know what is actually in these products, and whether or not they are healthy choices? In this mini talk, you will learn (1) how to read labels found on packaged food, (2) what you should look for when reading food labels, and (3) how to make healthy choices when shopping for food.

Live Exercise Class: Chair Yoga 10:00 am - 10:30 am Online
Event Details: An Exercise Therapist with additional training in yoga will guide you through a 30-minute Yoga Practice, incorporating both seated and standing positions. The focus will be on flexibility, strengthening and breathing techniques. All you will need for this event is a sturdy chair, non-slip shoes, and a comfortable space.

Following the mini-talk education session, an Exercise Therapist will guide you through a 30-minute warmup and resistance training session. Exercises can be adapted to utilize dumbbells, exercise bands, household items, or bodyweight.

Event Details: An Exercise Therapist will guide you through a 30-minute warmup and resistance training session. Completing regular resistance training not only increases muscle strength and endurance, but can also improve heart and lung function, reduce blood pressure, control blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and improve mental health and wellbeing. Exercises can be adapted to utilize dumbbells, exercise bands, household items, or bodyweight.
