At 11 AM on July 19, 2019 I had a massive heart attack at my desk at work in Pickering. Thankfully and very gratefully I was rushed to SHN Centenary hospital’s Cardiac Care unit and immediately had a stent put in. After a few days I was sent home and began my heart healthy lifestyle thanks to the Dr’s, Nurses and Family and Friends. After recovering I joined the Cardiac Rehab Program in Ajax — It was the best thing to happen to me — I learnt how to fix my eating habits, how to exercise regularly and to be thankful my cardiologist recommended me to the program, I can’t thank the people in the program enough for all of their help. I have now joined the next steps program to keep up with heart healthy lifestyle.
